Mother, My Friend

This is a layout of my mother; the photo was taken in 1947. I used a variety of techniques on this layout. I put an transparency frame over the photo to highlight it. I used Tim Holtz distressing inks over the background cardstock, used rub-on sentiments and images, and a lot of chipboard elements for a collage effect. The heart at the upper right was painted with gold paint then embellies with some flourishes, flower and butterfly. This won 2nd place at the county fair FAMILY CATEGORY last fall, 2008.
